The site originally started out as a way to find and keep in touch with your old school friends (nasza klasa means “our class’ in polish), but has since grown into a social portal, that allows users to meet new people, keep contact lists, participate in forum discussions, etc. But compared to the world’s leading social networks, the site is weak in it’s features and functionality. According to the site itself, nasza-klasa.pl is owned by “our class Sp. z oo” company, which was founded in 2007. Today this company is owned by three parties: original owners (10%), European Founders fund (20%) and Forticom (70%). nasza-klasa.pl enjoys huge traffic. An advertisement that was displayed on the site a couple of months ago boasted 13 million active users. According to Alexa the site is currently the second most used website in Poland, where number one is Google. The site’s Alexa traffic rank is 104 – reflecting many millions of page views a day. | |
