Suspended ebay account - How to resolve ebay suspension ?

Was your eBay account suspended? welcome to the club!

Getting an email from eBay informing you that your account was suspended can be devastating – as many eBay traders who faced the problem can confirm. So the first piece of advise is DON’T PANIC!

The first step you should take is to try to understand the reason for the ebay  suspension.
The two most common reasons for account suspension are failure to pay your eBay fees, and  committing a serious breach of eBay’s rules and policies.
If you’re account was suspended because unpaid fees, you can usually resolve this quickly and easily by simply immediately paying  the fee.

Many times account holders who’s account was suspended do not understand the reason for this extreme act. If this is the case, you should contact eBay Immediately and ask for an explanation.  Please note that when eBay suspends an account, they send an email with the reason and information about reinstating the account – so before you hurry and contact eBay, be sure the information wasn’t sent to you already and you missed it because you panicked.

Most importantly, don’t lose hope. Many account holders managed to get their account  reinstated. In some cases eBay suspended the account by mistake, and other times EBay forgave the account holder after he convinced them that the breach of rules was done innocently and in good faith.

If, on the other hand, your account was suspended because of a serious breach such as  trading stolen goods or deliberately misrepresenting the sold goods, you will find it very difficult to reinstate your account. This is because cheaters and liars undermine the integrity of eBay – and obviously eBay can not tolerate this.

Some traders who couldn’t get there account reinstated turned to the “dooms day weapon”: opening a completely new account under a different name. These traders would  delete any trace of their old account and identity by using tactics such as getting a new email address, opening a new bank account, uninstalling all eBay software, cleaning the computer from all cookies etc’.

We strongly suggest you don’t resort to these tactics. first of all, there is a good chance you will be caught, and secondly, you will always live in fear of being caught.
So, as always, the best advice is to trade honestly and fairly, and if you made a mistake, contact eBay and be honest and open about it.

Good luck!

Want to learn how to get back on after a suspension? Follow these brief seven steps.

Step 1: First off, make sure to clear your browser cookies and flash objects.
Step 2: Change your IP Address. Go to ipburger.com to check your IP Address.
Step 3: Think of a new name to use for your account. If you can, use a relative’s name.
Step 4: Think of a new address you can use, if you can use a relative’s address. Make sure that relative has never used eBay / PayPal before.
Step 5: Obtain a new phone number. You’ll need a clean phone number to use with your eBay and PayPal account. I don’t recommend just using any old number.
Step 6: Now you need a clean bank account and credit card (prepaid card) to use. If you have a savings account, use that. If you have a debit or credit card you haven’t used with eBay / PayPal before, use that.
Step 7: Put everything together. Use your new name, address, bank account and credit card and create your PayPal account. Make sure your browser cookies are clean, and flash objects off your PC and that you are on a new IP Address and create your account. After you do that, create your eBay account with the same information.

That’s the BASICS of how it’s done. If you want a more in depth step by step guide I recommend you read eBay Stealth, http://www.auctionstealth.com
