Scope – How to use it?
Scope - How to use it?
A tried-and-true halitosis remedy that has been around for a long time is Scope mouthwash, which is a Proctor and Gamble item. It started with just one flavor, but has developed into a full product line that has different formulas and a variety of flavors. It’s not just meant to hide bad breath, but it is designed to kill the very bacteria that cause the condition. The antibacterial ingredient is cetylpyridinium chloride, which has been scientifically proven to kill harmful mouth bacteria, the kind that produce the foul sulfur smell that is a hallmark of bad breath. This chemical also keeps plaque from building up and helps treat gingivitis. Scope is far more than just a bad breath remedy, it’s a tool to keep your mouth healthy. In addition to cetylpyridinium chloride, Scope also contains glycerin and alcohol which dry the tissues of the mouth. When you have a dry mouth, there’s no saliva which is a natural bacteria fighter. Alcohol is also flammable, and overingesting Scope can lead to intoxication and sickness. The sweetener in Scope can also cause a reaction in sensitive individuals, so if you have ever had a reaction to an artificial sweetener, be careful when using this mouthwash. Combining Scope with other oral care products can inhibit the antibacterial effects of cetylpyridinium chloride, so use it with care. If you do use Scope, use it after you use your other oral products, and don’t swallow the mouthwash- spit it out. Give the active ingredients their best chance to work by following the instructions on the bottle, and if Scope doesn’t work well enough for you, try another bad breath remedy. It can take some trial and error to find out which will work for you. | |
