Linder’s Furniture is based in Southern California, and its mission is to provide its customers with an easy and enjoyable experience, from the time they go to one of the showrooms, to the time the furniture is delivered and set up. The company has also opened two “superstore” showrooms, to better serve all of Southern California; Linder’s has opened its largest store in the 50,000 square foot ex-Wickes Furniture building in Rancho Cucamonga, near Ontario Mills. Company president Eric Foucrier says that it is a good time to get into the market, as real estate values are leveling out. Foucrier declined to say whether Linder’s Furniture is leasing or buying the building, but he did say that the site was Wickes’ top performing store when it was open. Wickes and its chief rival Levitz were forced to file for bankruptcy when the housing market’s bubble burst at the end of 2007. Around that time, several other stores on Rancho Cucamonga’s “furniture row”, such as Salmos Custom Sofas, also shut their doors. That has left the market wide open for other stores, such as Bassett Home Furnishings, Linder’s and Living Spaces. | |
