California State Health Insurance

There’s one thing that makes California state medical insurance different from that offered by other states. That is, that everyone in California can get state coverage. The state has worked hard to set up a provider network that allows for nearly universal coverage- state law requires that all plans sold in California have certain provisions.

The state aims to provide health coverage to all its residents, regardless of income. The state requires that all plans be renewable, and that pre-existing conditions be covered. Once you have a California insurance policy, it cannot be canceled by the company and you will always have the option to renew.

For example, if you are a younger person just starting a business, California allows you to buy health coverage that you may not have been able to afford. However, some people will get stuck with benefits they don’t need, and will feel that the state-sponsored plan is a waste of money.

Then…the unexpected happens- a car accident or catastrophic illness. Suddenly, you’re faced with months or even years of recovery and rehabilitation. Now, the benefits you “didn’t need” are coming in handy, as they will pay for your long-term care. You can relax and focus on getting strong and healthy again, without having to worry about how you’re going to pay for treatment.

We never know what tomorrow will bring, and while certain things may at first glance seem frivolous, we never know when we’ll need them. You may be young and healthy now, but there’s always a chance of something horrible happening to damage your quality of life. California state medical insurance can help protect you from life’s ups and downs.
